Can I only view American channels?

Hi,
If I setup an FTA dish and receiver, will I only be able to receive North American feeds? Would I be able to get European or African FTA channels?

oh, sorry, I see your question more clearly now...
You can get only the North American satellites.
The ones above the horizon, from wherever you are located...
And then, whatever is on them, is all yours.
