Using the Home Media feature, I'm trying to play a video from my PC encoded as MP4/AAC 5.1. While the video plays well with no transcoding required on all my devices (Hopper, Joey, and iPad through the Air Playit app), the Hopper does not send a 5.1 channel signal to my AVR through optical connection, only two channel stereo.
If I play the same video from my PC direct to AVR all works as desired with true AAC 5.1 Dolby Digital sound.
Just wondering if others have this same problem. Not sure if the H/J is the limiting factor here or not.
