I will hooking up my 621 AGAIN on my newly acquired 1.2m CM. I currently have a P* dedicated for G10.

Question: can you run two lines, one for c and one for ku from the bsc621 to a stand-alone 4x1 disecq so I can also use the G10 dish? If so, I realize the 'end' port of the bsc is the ku side, but what about the c-side?

YES, you can run two independent coax runs to each input by-passing the switch :)

Not sure about adding an external DiSEqC switch!

Thanks for the quick (and always expert advice) PSB. So, I run one coax from the ku port (end of bsc) to my 4x1. Question, which output on the bsc goes to another port on my 4x1. Is it the rcv. port on the bsc, or the other port that you normally run the short jumper wire from the ku port???

Yes, the input on the end of the BSC521-2 is the Ku input and the one marked RECEIVER is the C-Band input!

That's the ticket. I tested that exact setup and it worked for me.

This sites the best!!!!!!!!!!!!thanx PETE

I totally agree..

So, if you hook up the 621 with only one cable you can't run it into a 4x switch for a Multidish setup.. Instead you need to trick your receiver in thinking it's 2 separate LNBF's... Or am I all washed up on this, Hahaha..

No, you can not trick your receiver. If you try, you'll only get c-band, no ku because you never actually connected a coax into port #2 of your 4x1. I've tried it and it doesn't work.

What if you make C-band #1 on your 4x DiSEqC?

#2 (or whatever you like) could be the Ku side

#3 dish / lnbf #2

#4 dish / lnbf #3

Seems like it should work.

I meant - hooking it up normally with both C/Ku-Band sides..

There is only two ways to use this bsc621.
A: loop the short coax (comes with the lnb) as it shows in the picture on the box, then run a second coax out from the rcv. port on the lnb into your receiver. Then in your receiver menu, you need to select disecq #1 for all your c-band sats. in you menu. Select diseqc #2 for all your ku-band sats. in the menu.

or

B: run one coax out from the ku port on the bsc into port #2 of your 4x1 diseqc switch, another coax from the rcv. port of the bsc into #1 of your 4x1. That gives you ports #3 & #4 to connect to two additional lnbf's. The third port on the bsc won't be connected to anything (I plan on putting a plastic plub on mine to prevent moisture).
