I am new to HDTV and the other gadgets such as Blue Ray etc. My wife is finally going to let me buy a new system. I want at least a 36 in. flat screen HDTV. I want a Blue Ray player.and a new Stereo Receiver that are all compatible. Problem is...I only have around 1500 dollars to spend on the lot. The only must is that the HDTV must be at least 1080.(someone told me to say that)
I might be able to push the wife for a little more cash but not much. Right now I have a 10 yr old 36 in. mitisubshi which has served me well. 40 Inches would be nice but no bigger than that. I am 60 yrs old and plan on making this system last a long, long time. I know folks spend thousands on just a TV. Personally I cannot see it or afford it. Any help would be appreciated. Places to buy would be nice too.
