Buffalo Bills sign Terrell Owens- I am NOT making this up

So what QB is Buffalo going to trade for or draft to get the ball to TO and the others ?

Lions had good WR's at one time and didn't do much for them, what kind of a cive (sp) O line does Buffalo have ?
If the Lions had an O line they would be good too.....
I don't expect much from the Bills next year, matter of fact, they won 7 games last year, I bet they don't win any more next year...

See post # 6

Jimbo
Now we'll get to see the TRUE T.O., it won't take long for him to get tired of the losing , particularly when they get beat by NE and Miami and the Jets ...

I could not find a Buffalo schedule, but I predict the first major blow up by around week 8

Jimbo

Yup, you NAILED it there buddy! :up

yep. even though T.O. usually behaves the 1st year with a team.it's after that 1st season that T.O. begins to sink his claws into everything. but in this case since the contract is for only one season i think you'll be proved right Jimbo.

Never mind that, when is TO gonna have his first meltdown because the Buffalo QB can't throw a 20 yard out pattern? :D

this is one of the main reasons why i don't get this signing. besides, where is the coach and qb with a strong enough personality to handle this lunatic?

Interesting Fact (ESPN) :

Buffalo threw 26 TD Receptions in past 2 seasons. . . in the same time, TO caught 25 TD Receptions

Chris Mortenson on ESPN reporting Ralph Wilson Jr. wants a Playoff appearance and see T.O. has the missing piece for that AND the market dictated this deal (which we knew)

Bills to sign Owens to one-year deal : Home: The Buffalo News

Bill, I think those games between my team and your team just got a lot more interesting!

Oh, and Buffalo plays the AFC West (salsa, I'm looking at you!), Browns (HD, I'm looking at you), and Bengals.

And guys- no, I am not doing cartwheels yet.

I like the move, but I am skeptical- besides, they have Trent Edwards, a man I have dubbed a weak-armed wimp.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!

:haha:river:haha:river:haha:river

buffalo??!! No seriously....BUFFALO??!!!

All kidding aside....I honestly think you are gonna get a home run or a major strikeout with this. It's a 1 year contract, he KNOWS in his mind he is too young to retire and the LAST PLACE he wants to retire at is the "Mistake by the Lake LITE"....

...I figure he will be on his best behavior to get a better contract the year after with a LEGIT contender and try to finish on a high note with a possible Super Bowl ring somewhere else...

...then again, the Dolphins improved GREATLY with litterally nobodies and never weres and won the AFC East so ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.;)

...the pressure is on him...NOT the Bills

Salsa,

I admit, I am DESPERATE to see the Bills actually make the playoffs. Granted, your Raiders haven't done so in seven years, but they did make the playoffs three straight years since the new milennium.

The last time Buffalo made the playoffs, I was still in middle school!

I'm not going to go nuts and say, "OMG! TO IS IN BUFFALO! WE'RE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!"

I don't care if they go 13-3 or 8-8- all I want is a playoff appearance.

Oh, and salsa- Bills travel to Oakland this year. That'll be pretty interesting.

Sabres....after what the Dolphins pulled last year, just about ANYTHING is possible. I will treat that Buffalo game like any other. When you have not made the playoffs in 7 years....you BETTER be psyched for EVERY GAME!

i apologize if someone posted this already. i heard on espn that coach dick jauron didn't agree to this but the owner is shoving t.o. down his throat anyway.a jerry jones move that made parcells run after one season with t.o.

This is a pretty safe signing IMO. It's a 1 year deal. TO has no choice but to be on his best behavior or else he's in jeopardy of not getting another deal next year.

BTW, count me among the surprised when hearing about Buffalo signing him! Wow! Owens will now team up with Lee Evans, making this one heckuva wide receiving threat in Buffalo!

Buffalo News columnist Jerry Sullivan summed this signing up best....
"What do [the Bills] have to lose? Tranquility and calm in the locker room, among a bunch of nice guys who haven't won a damn thing?"

A few more notable quotes from the TO press conference...

"I'm leaving America's team (for) North America's team," Owens said at a news conference.
"[Owens] thanks the Cowboys organization for releasing him and adding to his bank account," said Rosenhaus.
The receiver was set to make $5.7 million in base salary and a roster bonus in '09 with the Cowboys. He'll make $6.5 million with the Bills.

Still don't have a QB that can throw a 20 yard out ....
Who will the be signing ?

T.O. Released??

What makes Italy different?
