Broadcast Networks Programming Discussion Thread

I haven't watched Flashpoint,I haven't had time to watch much this summer due to Hunting & Working (we had a couple of people off & have had to "fill in") I'm working now, but I did manage to watch Eureka last night (gone 14+ hours when working)have timers set for Whip It and the Informant! tonight and may dvr SNL later...

Anyway, when are broadcast networks going to produce more original programming during the summer months?
Last year.

It evidently wasn't profitable enough to try as hard this year, and I suspect that the failure of shows like The Bridge shows that trying even as much as they tried this summer won't be justifiable next summer.

Election night brings us the first day of re-runs. Fair enough, since I'd hate to have a new episode of NCIS interrupted with a news report. It does give my DVR a break today. :)
