Statement from Packers General Manager Ted Thompson:

"Brett Favre informed me this morning that he plans to return for a 17th NFL season. The Packers are excited by his decision and look forward to a successful 2007 campaign."

I was hoping you were talking about Brett Hull back to the Red Wings, they definatly miss the true Stars they once had.

Lions beat the pack yeah right!!!

The lions, Arizona and Oakland should be in the same conference as they all suck

The Pack are just light years ahead of them, right ?
Lions lost both games to the Pack this year, by a whooping 7 and 8 points.
The teams normally split the season series.
2005 the Pack only won 4 games
Whats going to happen to them when Brett does retire ?
I expect a 4-5 year drought where they don't break even.

It's time to let him go, he's past his prime and has no one around him who can play.

Time to start to rebuild.

i'm fearful brett will keep playing longer than he should. dan marino did. its sad but these guys just don't know when to say when..
