just read at espn.com that stern sounds like he's ready for an investigation although, both the cavs and raptors said they won't file tampering charges.

and wait for it, mark cuban has decided he needs to talk to the nba about this.

They, and MOST NBA team will not file because they are guilty of it in one way or another. You are not naive enough to think that this has not happened BEFORE do you?!

IF a team or teams file, they will expose THEMSELVES to be investigated too...therefore all of THEIR ugly little secrets will come out of the closet.

Plus the Cavs signed off on the Sign and Trade, I dont think they would if they had concerns

Oh hell no! The heat took one of our beloveds, they better not take another!

HOW is it the HEATS fault? LOL! MAYBE, just maybe, these moves are showing something about the owner or they just want to go where they have a better chance of winning? Could THAT be possible?

its like richard nixon. was he the first president who ever did something wrong? no. he was the first president stupid enough to get caught. and he certainly won't be the last president to ever do anything wrong.

but what happens if the nba does in vestigate and they do level sanctions? yes, i would be shocked.

What's that saying about those that live in glass houses?? :D

I was just kidding. Big-Z is a free agent. He's free to go wherever he wants. As far as I know, the Cavs haven't even approached Z about trying to renegotiate a new contract. Our team is now in rebuild mode. No need to add an aging, slower vet. I'll still cheer him wherever he goes though. Z has always been a class act. The opposite of LeBron if you will. ;)

what do you guys think about the heat pursuing derek fisher? good or bad? and would he even be interested since he's already on a championship team?

THAT is the wrong person to ask for an investigation. WITH his history against the NBA, there is a good chance they will not give the time of day. NOT to mention, it will open up someone to investigate THEIR team as well.
i was about to say the same lol! :D

Good move. Fisher still has a good outside shot. Something the Heat will need since the "Miami-Thrice" play from the inside-out. Someone they can kick it out to on the perimeter to knock down an outside shot is exactly the type of player they need.

WHY shocked? They sanctioned Pat Riley before with the signing of Juwan Howard. This is why I DOUBT Pat is involved. After THAT fiasco, I would think that Riley would NEVER be that stupid to try THAT again! DO I believe the 3 guys planned this to play together when their contracts are up? YES! But guess what, IT AIN'T ILLEGAL!! Players talk to each other ALL the time.

Throw games, I highly doubt in this age of microphones and cameras EVERYWHERE.

if you believe what you read, riley knew they wanted to play together because of nicky arison. riley plotted and approached james early last season about chaning hgis number to honor jordan. from that point, he knew james could be easily manipulated. that's why i say he probably was smart enough not to make it look like collusion. but he knew something other team execs probably didn't and he skirted around tampering.

and if you haven't already figured it out, i'm not a pat riley fan either.

As I recall, Riley was sanctioned for scheming to circumvent the salary cap by privately agreeing with Alonzo Mourning, to a contract renewal for him utilizing his own Larry Bird exemption, to be signed only after Howard got signed within the cap. Based on comments I have been hearing this year regarding the obligations of teams to renounce its interests in resigning ther own big salary players whose contracts have expired (Paul Pierce, for example), I think the rules have been changed so that a team can't get away with what Pat Riley did with Howard and Mourning.

My arguement is not the rule so much as Riley not putting himself in that kinda situation again where he can get an contract null and void.

Yeah, Riley heard THROUGH Mickey Aronson's son because it was initially said by Knicks coach D'Antoni. To state...and you DID STATE THIS, he "plotted" means you know something we don't, and IF I am not mistaken, you have been out of the reporting business for quite sometime. You are assuming ALOT without knowing inside details that neither YOU nor I nor anyone else here.

But we can figure out what your agenda is with the last line of your post.;)
