Quick Time is just a media player, it's not a bad thing. I just did a complete scan after going to that page and playing the announcement and there were no bad things on my computer
Thanks FaT Air, I rarely use Windows but do have 7 on my main dual boot system along with XP in a virtualbox and on the kids computer. I'm sure Quicktime is on them so I will have a look.AntAltMike, If you're running Windows (ANY Version)

I've used it like forever, it's my default player for all media on both Windows and Linux)
