Didn't know BV ever made a 6' dish... Interesting...

Tron, I don't think it is a 6' dish, if you look at the pics it appears to be the typical 8'-6 gem.

I have never seen one of these Birdview receivers get a bid on eBay, so unless more than one person figures out there is a free dish thrown in on this auction, and a bidding war ensues.......someone could get a nice looking BV perf for $9.50. :D

just being careful:

I'd like to see the back side of the dish just to verify the motor/mount assembly.

It's certainly a black perf Birdview.
And, according to the docs posted to the forum here, it did come in several sizes.
However, I've never actually seen anyone report finding other than the single 8' or 8½' size.

If you can use the dish, give the fellow $25 bucks for the lot, and then once out of sight, deftly drop all the electronics into the nearest dumpster. - :D
The dish is pretty light, but you should be careful how you strap it down or box it up for transport.
The mount is one heavy SOB.
And that ten-foot, 6 inch diameter pole is a light unless the bottom three/four feet are filled with cement (which it will be).

Happy hunting! . - :up

BUD is 8' not 6'

I contacted the guy thru Ebay to find out more about this dish. It is actually an 8 footer with Birdview H to H mover. Everything is intact. Quite a nice deal for someone willing to drive the distance.

He added more pics to the listing & described the access to the dish as 50 ft up a gentle slope from a road behind his home.

He appears to very sincere about finding it a new home & communicates well.

Happy hunting!:)

Brex, thanks for the update.
This is indeed, quite a score!

I contacted a buddy who's a lot closer, but he had no way to haul the dish the hundred miles to get it home.
Then he whipped out a picture of his big 10 foot, and bragged about that! -

It is on a gentle sloping hillside at least 50' from reasonable access by truck.
Three people wouldn't enjoy a fifty foot trek with a BV solid.
I have an 8' spun aluminum perf very similar to the BV, and two guys could walk it a mile without hardly breathing hard. -

For the mount, bring a dolly or a wheelbarrow or something.
As I mentioned above, the thin-walled 10' pole is light, except for all that concrete! - :D
