Believe it or not...

...as active as this thread has been, it still needs another 5000+ views and a few more post to catch the main Lifetime Channel thread when they were dropped by Dish Network on New Years Day 2006. Additionally, there were probably more than 75 threads and 75000 posts regarding the Lifetime dispute.

It just goes to show that SatelliteGuys love their Lifetime Channels more than they do football.

Big difference between a channel available on all systems that is removed compared to a channel that hasn't even launched yet.

Just a qualifier for customers of Insight - Not all Insight customers are going to get it. Those areas which are being bought out by Comcast will not be receiving the channel - including Illinois and parts of Indiana.

So it looks as though E* customers who want BTN in Ohio and parts of Indiana and Kentucky can start jumping ship back to cable. DirecTV is still my only option.

gopherscot...I understand there are going to be posts about directv as they are the only ones to have this channel, but when majority of the posts are about directv and directv information I might have to clean it up....believe it or not people do just scan these threads for info, and wantt o see if its on Dish yet, and not read through 45 pages of I am going to directv and this is what they are offering...now you know the rest of the story I just want you to understand why I put that.

lol, 59 pages is ALOT to go through....I just want to make sure if anyone needs information, they can just scan through the thread and check to see, I dont mind if people chat about the channel, I just dont want to see DIrectv is giving me 2 hd recievers or whatever.

Could it be an agreement being close, and they are testing out a spot for the B10 in HD? just thought i would stir this hornets nest...

actually they have some 38 hours before games would be missed for any team, here's hoping for a big time last minute push, I'd call dish all day tomorrow, flood the phone lines, send them e-mails so many that their inboxes would fill up, hey it worked for CBS when they canned jericho, could it work with E*. I know it's a huge longshot, but right now it's the only hope that we got short of an FCC order to make E have the network....

BTN Conf Call

The Big Ten network had a conf call today.....

They talked about Dish and said that they talked with them yesterday. Also that they have not heard about the FCC stuff for a while and thought that it was just part of the negotiating.

They also mentioned that Direct is becoming overwhelmed in certain areas and that they have brought in installers from other non Big Ten states to help with demand.(take it for what it's worth)

The only other thing of note is they are talking with everyone but one company....Comcast. If you have Comcast it sure sounds like you won't be getting BTN anytime soon.
