Need some advise. I live at 63010

Degrees Minutes Seconds:
Latitude: 375709N
Longitude: 0900834W

Decimal Degrees:
Latitude: 37.9525
Longitude: -90.14278

What do you think
Galaxy 28 at 89 or
Nimiq 1,3 at 91

Dont look like much on 91W for FTA

Thanks

you literally are splitting it down the middle between the two

As for how much is on there, doesn't matter. As long as you can lock the signal that's all you need.

If you have USALS on the receiver, set up USALS (enter your lat & long) and let the motor move to either 91 or 89 then aim the dish/motor assembly. That one degree may not seem like much but when you get to the ends of the arc it makes a difference :)

If you use G11 (91) use transponder 12060 V 26700 (freq, pol, symbol) and if on G28 (89) use 11953 V 19532 to aim the dish

I would go for 89 because 91 is alot stronger and you may have good quality on that sat and when you move the dish the signal will not be that good on the linear sats, and with it being stronger you may not have the dish aligned properly and it will throw you off the arc.

I live in New Orleans, which is at exactly 90.1 longitude. I've always used 91w (Galaxy 11) as true south, but people here on the forum who live in the far eastern suburbs use 89 :) As Iceberg said, if you use USALS, it won't matter.
