Best deal for new D* sub?

I'm ready to switch from E*. Why? I want an HD TiVo. The 921 doesn't compare. So, what I want to know is this: what's the best deal I can get as a new sub for one DirecTiVo (bedroom), one HD receiver (living room until the HDTivo ships), and one "regular" receiver? Let's see who can come up with the lowest total package price

The HD Tivo will be out in 4 weeks, its more a matter of who will get them first and who is actualy taking PRE-Orders on the HD Tivo.

Value extronics is doing pre orders at $100 off or $899 but they sold so many you may have to wait a while now.

Dont know who else is doing pre orders.

I would wait till March 1st when Direct TVs new Double Deal comes out, what ever that is.

We're still taking advance orders for DIRECTV's HD DVR. New pre-orders are scheduled to ship the 3rd - 4th week of April '04.

Will D* ever have a new sub deal for the DirecTivo where there is no up front cost like the DISH deal?

I know you guys are discussing HD DVR Tivo and such, but the topic heading reads "Best deal for new D* sub"...that's what I would be so is there anything you guys can help me with?
I'm deciding between D* and Voom and although the Voom $$$ seems appealing I'm not so sure it's better tha D*. I'm also intertest in OTA HD locals.

Please convince me one way or the other...!!!

Well, Dish1Up seems to have a great deal on DirecTV but it doesn't appear to include HDTV. Their DishNetwork deal includes 4 rooms with 1 HDTV receiver, 1 DVR receiver and 2 standard receivers.

Their DirecTV deal includes 4 receivers plus 1 DirecTivo.

This might or might not be interesting. Over on the Tivo forum there is
a thread about Best Buy having an offer at end of March for new subcribers
for HDtivo for $999 let $150 rebate which would make it $849
