True... but same goes for webisodes
Ah, but those they make publicly available. I'd say more canon than deleted scenes, which give us a sense of what the writers wanted to do, for sure, but for whatever reason, nixed. Still, I agree... anything to explain what the frack is going on is a good thing.
Like Razor, the broadcast episode was shorter than the Dvd (which was much better) and the S3 episode with the Boxing was extended for Dvd and much better...
Still, anything not shown isn't "official" until it is shown. The webisodes are available to anyone that wants to see them, even on VOD...the same cannot be said of deleted scenes.

I am beginning to hate that word with a real passion. It is only going to get worse the next few months among trekkies. At this point its so bad that the only canon I want to hear is the fat guy from the 70s.
I just read over on dbstalk , that Caprica will be released on DVD exclusivly on April 21st 09.Then on tv in 2010
Fans won't have to wait until 2010 after all to get their first look at the new "Battlestar Galactica" prequel series "Caprica." Universal Studios Home Entertainment announced it would release the feature-length pilot of "Caprica" exclusively on DVD beginning April 21.

Family is watching the tv tonight, and I'll be in the dog-house if I escape to the HT Room by myself, so I guess it means I have to wait until tomorrow morning for BSG. Oh well, what's another 12 hours.
