Thanks in advance. Just spent an hour on chat with Dish VIP to accomplish nothing so hopefully someone here can help!
Symptoms:
TV 1 connected to DVR crystal clear sound and picture
TV 2 connected via coaxial cable from tv directly to splitter at satellite has fuzzy picture and audio sounds like high pitched morris code.
Screen 6 - 1 - 3 shows
A = good
D = VIP622 DVR
G = 119 green, 110 green, 129 green
Troubleshooting:
Have switched tv positions, problem stays with tv2 position. Connected a 3rd tv, at position one crystal clear, at position 2 fuzzy picture and sound. So it is not the TV
Replaced the coax cable running from TV2 to satelitte, no change
There are no other devices on this network, no old vcrs or any non-dish equipment.
I am an electrician so I have/can test equipment if I know what to test. I suspect it is a grounding issue, a bad splitter or some type of signal overload. If it was one of the two satellites or the dvr then there would be an issue at both locations, but it is exclusively at tv2
What are the grounding requirements?
How do I test the splitters?
Anything else anyone can shed on this issue, thank you thank you
