B Band Converter needed for HR24

I just ordered an HR24 tonight, and a week ago I called Directv with a billing problem but asked if I needed 1 or 2 BBC's for the HR24. They insisted that I needed none, and I'm sure that I read here that I do need a BBC. I don't have a single wire installation--2 wires running to the HR23 that is being moved and replaced with the HR24. I have no BBC on the HR23, and I understand it is built in. So, do I need a BBC, and do I need one on each feed?

On an HR-24, yes you need them for a non-SWM install like yours. In both lines.

Yup, need them on the set up you have at the moment, (non SWM) as mentioned above, the H/HR23's are the only ones that don't need them.

If I hook my H24 receiver up at camp to an 18" single lnb do I need a b band converter? I know I'll only get the SD channels with this dish and lnb.

No your fine bband is only for HD sats 99/103

Yes but we generally would not send it out as a replacment either unless swm was marked on the account.
