Autotune was nice but SCOUT was better

My original RCA receiver 16 years ago had a feature called SCOUT. I could program in a list of programs in the queue and it would continuously monitor the guide and put up a reminder that the program was found. I had scout look for some programs for months before they showed up again.

Bring back my scout!!!!!!

Yeah I will agree Scout was great. I had an Ultimate TV box (still one of their best ever DVR's) back then that had it too, and that would go one better and automatically record matching programs for you.

I remember the Scout, The RCA 221 and 222's had it .... maybe the next model as well, don't remember, (242 ?)

Most of the H/Hu generation RCA's had it. I think the last ones that included it were the 420/430s. (I know the 420 had it because I had 2 of them.)
