Audio popping when watching DVR

I run the sound from my Hopper via optical link to my Sony audio receiver. When I'm playing back a recording, the audio pops when skipping or FF. My 622 never did this and everything is hooked up the same way. I saw some older posts about this with a 722, but no solutions. Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks for any help.
