I have an old, old receiver that indicates signal strength with sound through the TV speakers. I use it to aim my satellite when camping in my RV. This way I can hear the signal from outside the RV. Higher tone indicates a stronger signal. After finding the signal I then connect my HR 24 - 500 DVR. I would like to know if anyone knows how to make the HR24-500 make an audible tone to indicate signal strength. I am afraid my old receiver that I use for this will eventually shoot craps and then I won't be able to find the satellite when RVing. Thanks.

I don't believe any of the D* branded ones have the audible sound anymore, at least the newer generation.

Can't jump ahead in recording with DIRECTV app?

Can I do this with one more Splitter and power inserter?
