The season premiere of "Two and a Half Men" introducing Ashton Kutcher brought in a record-breaking 28.7 million viewers last week. Not all of them stayed, but the second episode still posted very strong numbers.
Last night's episode drew 20.3 million viewers, a 30% drop from the premiere. A drop was expected, since many viewers tuned in for the premiere to learn the fate of Charlie Sheen's character and how Kutcher's character would enter the show.
The Hollywood Reporter says last night's episode marked a 50% gain compared to the second episode of "Men" last season -- very encouraging news.
this weeks show was L A M E.....
bye bye timer
Maybe Waldon's character is why Demi kicked him to the curb, after all she is almost 20 years older.Actually it was much funnier than last week, but primarily due to Jake. The problem is a character like Waldon who makes Allan look normal is really just pathetic.
I don't find the show funny at all. It has lost its appeal and I think last night's episode is the last one I'll watch.
“How I Met Your Mother” continues to enjoy ratings dominance in the 8PM half-hour; it absolutely dominated the competition on even week-to-week ratings.
“Mother” opened CBS’ comedy block with a 4.5 adults 18-49 rating and 10.5 million viewers. The hold from last week is particularly impressive given the fact that “Two and a Half Men” is still declining as the curiosity buzz for Ashton Kutcher’s role fades. Even with a weaker ‘halo effect’ (6.1 adults 18-49 rating and 17.3 million viewers, as compared to a 7.2 and 20 million last week), “Mother” remains strong.
I have to agree the show will not last beyond February...
Except 17.3 million people are still tuning-in. Who are these people? Just about all my friends, family and coworkers who were watching this show have dropped it and deleted timers. Has this showed tapped into the 40-to-60 year-old female Demi-graphic (pun intended) in which the ladies are watching just to see a shirtless Walden in need of mothering?
Well, I'm starting to read a lot of negative comments posted all over the place about the Walden show. I wonder if it's too late for everyone to kiss and make-up and have Sheen return at mid-season? Sheen made his "What Was I Thinking" tour last month so I don't see why CBS wouldn't take him back...just borrow a storyline from a soap and Viola!
