Arrow Promises One Villain And Slams The Door On The Other http://www.cinemablend.com/television/Arrow-Promises-One-Villain-Slams-Door-Other-70504.html
When you’re a masked vigilante fighting crime, you’re bound to make enemies along the way, and Oliver Queen has been getting his fair share of antagonism over Arrow’s run. Originally just fighting normal criminals, the past three seasons have seen him go up against adversaries from the comics like Merlyn, Deathstroke, Ra’s al Ghul and more. Fans will naturally see more comic book villains showing up in Season 4, and now there’s an update concerning future appearances from two villains who could not be more different: Onomatopoeia and Harley Quinn. At last weekend’s Long Beach Comics Expo, executive producer Marc Guggenheim told a fan that he would be “stunned” if Onomatopoeia, an assassin that likes to make sound effects, didn’t show up before the series finished. According to Comic Book Resources, he said that it is all about finding the right story for the villain. On the flip side, there’s Harley Quinn, who had the briefest of cameos in the Season 2 episode “Suicide Squad.” When asked if the show would ever fully use her, Guggenheim stated that with Gotham on Fox and her starring in 2016’s Suicide Squad, it’s unlikely she'll be coming back.

The Arrow/Flash Spinoff Project: Are These the Atom's Super Teammates? https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/arrow-flash-spinoff-project-atoms-010231275.html
The curious spinoff project featuring characters from both Arrow and The Flash is starting to come into focus, with details on three roles to be cast.As previously reported, the CW spinoff — which may zip past the usual pilot process and be ordered straight to series — will star Arrow‘s Brandon Routh (who plays Ray/The Atom) and Caity Lotz (formerly Sara/Canary), as well as The Flash‘s Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart/Captain Cold) and Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein aka half of Firestorm).Rounding out the ensemble, TVLine has learned, are the following “mystery” characters — though we’ve put forth out best theories on the familiar heroes/foes being cast. The Obscene Reason Arrow's First Promo Photo Had To Be Edited - http://www.cinemablend.com/televisi...to-Had-Edited-70577.html#sthash.dJLD7ZjR.dpuf
Being a superhero is more than just having the necessary skills to take down bad guys. A good image is also key, which explains why it’s important that costume reveals for superhero movies and TV shows are done properly. For Arrow star Stephen Amell however, the first official image of Oliver Queen suited up as The Arrow had to be edited at the last minute due to a certain part of his anatomy seemingly appearing more prominently.Amell recently explained a predicament the show faced when they took the first promo shot of the actor as the bow-wielding protagonist back in 2012. After photographing Amell in several poses, a choice was finally made on which image to release to the public. Unfortunately, thanks to an observation from one of his co-stars, another problem soon arose…almost literally!

Arrow Photos: Dig and Lyla's Wedding Day Arrives, Oliver Clashes With Ray https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/arrow-photos-dig-lylas-wedding-201502990.html
Looks like Ray Palmer will be suiting up as more than just the Atom during Diggle and Lyla’s wedding on Arrow. In the following photos from the March 25 episode, titled “Suicidal Tendencies,” Felicity’s new guy also appears to be officiating the nuptials. But somehow, we don’t think that gig is what’s got him and best man Oliver facing off in their costumes. As executive producer Marc Guggenheim previously teased, Ray will “go about things in a very different way than the Arrow does. And he’s not a part of Team Arrow. Right now, he’s just a very smart guy in a very, very powerful suit. Oliver’s definitely going to have an opinion, and the first instance of that will be in Episode 17.”

Arrow @ PaleyFest: Will the Offer Have 'Dire Consequences'? Plus: Felicity's 'Options,' Thea Vs. Dad and More https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/arrow-paleyfest-offer-dire-consequences-024728262.html
For Arrow‘s Oliver Queen, “It’s going to get worse before it gets better,” series star Stephen Amell warned Saturday night during the CW series’ PaleyFest panel.Acknowledging that it’s “interesting to have a Big Bad who’s very interested in Oliver staying alive” — as Ra’s al Ghul obviously is, having invited his onetime opponent to assume leadership of the League of Assassins — Amell noted, “If you know Ra’s and his tactics… you realize that it’s an ‘offer’ in name only. It’s a demand. And if Oliver says no, there will be incredibly dire consequences.”That dilemma — be him else be felled by him — marks “the big thrust of the last third of the season,” Amell said, resulting in a “more defeated” Oliver. That said, the actor posited that after roughly “70 episodes of ‘Don’t talk to me'” stand-offishness by Team Arrow’s leader, there have to be happier days ahead, at some point. “You can only stare broodingly out a window for so long,” he stated.

'Arrow': Stephen Amell Reveals Why You'll Be Seeing a More 'Vulnerable' Oliver Queen https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/arrow-stephen-amell-reveals-why-042200964.html
Arrow is taking over Hollywood! On a sweltering, 90-plus degree Saturday afternoon in the heart of Los Angeles, the cast and producers of The CW’s hit comic book drama treated the enthusiastic Dolby Theatre crowd on the penultimate day of PaleyFest to offer some intriguing intel on what’s to come in season three and beyond. To say Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) is in a predicament is an understatement. Following Ra’s al Ghul’s intriguing proposition to the former billionaire to take over the throne, Oliver finds himself at a crossroads: Should he go through with it? Should he politely decline? Let’s just say, there’s more to the “offer” than meets the eye.

Arrow: Oliver mulls becoming Ra's al Ghul as his secret gets out http://www.ew.com/article/2015/03/14/arrow-oliver-mulls-becoming-ras-al-ghul-his-secret-gets-out
When Arrow returns (Wednesday, 8 p.m. ET on The CW), Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) will be facing a very tough decision after Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable) extended the Emerald Archer an offer to become the new Ra’s al Ghul and leader of the League of Assassins.Ahead of Saturday’s PaleyFest panel honoring the series, a new—and very spoilery—trailer revealed that there’s a prophecy stating that the man who doesn’t perish at the blade of Ra’s al Ghul will become the new Ra’s al Ghul. However, Oliver may not actually have a choice in the matter. “It’s very interesting to have a big bad this year who is now very invested in Oliver staying alive,” Amell says. “If you know Ra’s al Ghul and you know his tactics…you realize that it’s an offer in name only. It’s not really an offer. It’s a demand. If Oliver says no, there are going to be incredibly dire consequences.”As Ra’s al Ghul makes his pitch for why Oliver could help save not just Starling City, but the world, “It really actually does force him to really look within himself,” Amell says. “We see a very different Oliver, a more introspective, a more vulnerable and, in a lot of ways, defeated version of the character as we move towards the last portion of our episodes.” But it could push Oliver to open up to those around him. “You can only push people away for so long,” Amell teases.

'Arrow's' Stephen Amell: There Will Be "Dire Consequences" If Oliver Refuses Ra's Al Ghul https://www.yahoo.com/movies/s/arro...onsequences-oliver-refuses-ras-040008697.html
Arrow returns next week as Oliver (Stephen Amell) has a big choice.A Paleyfest panel featuring the cast and executive producers kicked off with a sizzle reel teasing the rest of the season. Among the revelations: Oliver's secret identity is no longer so secret, with Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) and Det. Lance (Paul Blackthorne) both learning he is the vigilante. Wednesday's episode picks up after Ra's Al Ghul (Matt Nable) has offered him the opportunity to take over his mantle and lead the League of Assassins. Part of the footage showed Merlyn (John Barrowman) telling Oliver, who survived a duel with Ra's in the midseason finale, that legend has it that the man who survives Ra's' blade will become Ra's Al Ghul."It's an offer in name only. It's not really an offer," Amell said. "It's a demand. If Oliver says no, there will be incredibly dire consequences."In mulling the offer, Oliver will take stock in what he's accomplished in the time he's been back in Starling City — and he will determine that what he's accomplished isn't that impressive.

‘Flash’ & ‘Arrow’ Trailers Tease Plot Twists, Villains & More http://screenrant.com/flash-arrow-cw-trailer-villains-atom-rogues/ VIDEO of The Arrow here>> http://screenrant.com/flash-arrow-cw-trailer-villains-atom-rogues/
[WARNING: Minor SPOILERS for both The Flash and Arrow lie ahead!] Not to be outdone by their Central City colleagues, Arrow will see the streets of Starling filled with action as well. Not to mention facing Oliver Queen with a new fate as the leader of the League of Assassins:The role played by Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable) in this season of Arrow was teased as far back as Comic-Con 2014, though fans at the time didn’t know that he would be used so sparingly up to this point (the footage and voiceover from this sizzle reel is the same used months ago). But it isn’t another fight Ra’s will be looking for: it seems Oliver surviving his sword to the stomach wasn’t a cop-out or act of mercy, but the fulfillment of a prophecy placing Oliver as the rightful leader of the League.

CW’s ‘Arrow’-‘Flash’ Spinoff Will Feature ‘Big’ DC Comics Villain ‘Who Hasn’t Been Used Yet’ https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/cw-arrow-flash-spinoff-feature-big-comic-book-231130282.html
DC Comics’ Justice League may be a few years away from fruition on the bigscreen, but the comicbook publisher is steadily building a powerful roster of superhero shows on TV. The CW’s hit “Arrow” has already spawned an equally successful spinoff in “The Flash,” and now executive producers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim are looking to further cement their empire with another super-powered offshoot, this time taking characters from “Arrow” and “The Flash” and combining them in an epic team-up series. The spinoff will be produced by the trio, along with Sarah Schechter.Berlanti — who is also exec producing CBS’ “Supergirl” series with Kreisberg, Schechter and Ali Adler — told Variety that the new show is designed to be “most similar to our crossover episodes, where you feel that ‘event-iness,’ but all the time.”

‘Arrow’: Two More Characters Will Learn Arrow’s Secret Identity http://screenrant.com/arrow-season-3-oliver-secret-identity-ray-palmer-captain-lance/
[WARNING: This article will contain spoilers for Arrow.]The CW’s Arrow certainly doesn’t keep Arrow’s secret identity close to the vest. Before the series had even gotten ten episodes into season 1, Oliver (Stephen Amell) had already revealed his identity to more characters than most superheroes do in three seasons of television (remember Smallville?). In fact, Ollie has always shown his willingness to take the hood off if the situation deemed it necessary.Just recently even, Oliver revealed his identity to Thea (Willa Holland) – leaving just a few members of the cast left who don’t know Oliver is the Arrow. However, with season 3 already packed to the brim with twists and turns and the showrunners teasing some serious changes to the series coming, there may be more characters set to find out who Oliver Queen really is.

As Oliver mulls the offer, viewers will learn more about some of the supernatural aspects surrounding Ra's and his headquarters in Nanda Parbat. In the comics, Ra's rejuvenates himself via the Lazarus Pit, a pool that has restorative powers and can even bring people back from the dead. Preview: Arrow's Answer to the Offer Is Near — and Yes, Felicity's a Factor https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/preview-arrows-answer-offer-near-150029036.html
When Arrow returns this Wednesday (The CW, 8/7c), Oliver’s response to Ra’s al Ghul’s offer that the archer replace him as the leader of the League of Assassins will be not unlike that of viewers: “Confusion. Interest. And pondering,” star Stephen Amell previews. After that, he’ll soon make his choice, which will be impacted by a certain blonde’s recent change in romantic status. But first, Oliver’s friends and family will weigh in with their own highly emotional opinions after they learn of the baddie’s proposal.“The entire team is shocked and can’t believe it,” co-star Colton Haynes says. Their outraged reaction is not unjustified, given that “Oliver keeps going and leaving us and saying he’s going to come back and we don’t really know if he is going to come back.”

Should Oliver Be the Next Ra's al Ghul? 'Arrow' Stars Reveal Their Surprising Answers! https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/oliver-next-ras-al-ghul-140500974.html
Could we soon be calling Oliver Queen the next Ra’s al Ghul? That’s a question Arrow picks apart in its return episode, “The Offer.” After surviving Ra’s’ sword once before, Oliver skirts death a second time when the leader of the League of Assassins proposes that the Starling City hero take over the throne as head of the League. But like everything Ra’s does or says, there are strings attached.“The thrust of the second part of the season is that it's not really an offer, it's a command,” Stephen Amell tells ETonline. “The legend says, if you survive the sword of Ra's al Ghul, you become Ra's al Ghul. He needs an heir and by right, it's me. He's not going to rest until I take it, willingly or unwillingly.”Tonight’s episode picks up moments after Ra’s’ proposition, and it’s a “sales pitch that is going to be surprisingly compelling,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim tells ETonline. “Ra’s is going to make a very good argument in favor of the League of Assassins and Oliver is going to spend the episode far more tempted than you might expect.”

Arrow: Is someone saying goodbye for good? http://www.ew.com/article/2015/03/18/arrow-someone-saying-goodbye-good
Now that Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) has declined Ra’s al Ghul’s (Matt Nable) offer, Team Arrow is definitely in danger—remember, it isn’t so much an offer as it is a demand.Rumors that not everyone would make it out of this season alive were, surprisingly, first sparked by the cast, who detailed on Twitter that they had just shot a very emotionally draining scene. “Goodbyes are tough,” Amell tweeted. So, is someone really getting killed off?

"Arrow" Cast on Oliver's Demonic Bargain, Ray Palmer's Heroics & Caity Lotz's Return http://www.comicbookresources.com/a...argain-ray-palmers-heroics-caity-lotzs-return
That Ra's al Ghul sure knows how to change the conversation, doesn't he?As the cast of "Arrow" convened for a tribute panel at Los Angeles' Paley Fest last weekend, it seems like the Demon's Head's tantalizing proposal put before Oliver Queen -- an opportunity to become Ra's successor, inheriting all his power and resources, including command of The League of Assassins -- makes a major impact on everyone, not just Ollie. On the red carpet prior to the panel, cast members told CBR News that whatever Oliver answers, the after-effects will ripple across the cast."One of the things that Ra's proposition did to him was that The League does as Ra's al Ghul commands, so if he commands that they stop killing, they'll stop killing," Stephen Amell explained to CBR News, discussing Oliver's interest in the ancient agent provocateur's offer. "You are the architect of the League of Assassins when you're Ra's al Ghul, and it's an army for him to command -- in theory."

Atom vs Arrow! Arrow's heroes face off as Dig ties the knot http://www.ew.com/article/2015/03/24/atom-vs-arrow-arrows-heroes-face-dig-ties-knot
While Diggle (David Ramsey) is planning to tie the knot, Oliver (Stephen Amell) sets his sights on confronting Starling’s new hero: Ray Palmer, aka The Atom (Brandon Routh).“We’re not super happy about it only because the vigilantism that’s going on in Starling City, they aren’t well-trained,” Ramsey tells EW. “It’s more that issue than it is anything else. The intentions are good, but these people aren’t trained and they have their reservations about that.”However, even if Palmer had more training, Oliver still wouldn’t be his No. 1 fan. “He’s good with all the help that he can get, but if he’s going to be romantically involved with Felicity, [that’s different],” Amell says. “Oliver being someone else other than just himself is the precise reason why he doesn’t want to be involved with Felicity. He’s fine with Ray being involved with her, except if he’s The Atom, it creates the exact same set of problems.”

Arrow/Flash Spinoff Enlists Arthur Darvill To Play Rip Hunter https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/arrow-flash-spinoff-enlists-arthur-000024798.html
Another superhero is joining the ranks of the CW’s Arrow/Flash spinoff. British actor Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who) is set to play Rip Hunter in the superhero team-up show, from Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg & Marc Guggenheim. Rip Hunter, described as a roguish time traveler who hides the strains of being responsible for history itself behind a facade of charm and wit, is the first of 3 DC characters that previously have not been exploited in TV, to join the new project. The Arrow/Flash spinoff, eyed for next midseason, features three newly cast roles, two of them played by Darvill and Ciara Renée (Hawkgirl), as well as several actors who play recurring characters on Arrow and The Flash, including Brandon Routh (Arrow‘s Ray Palmer/The Atom), Wentworth Miller (The Flash‘s Leonard Snart/Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (The Flash‘s Mick Rory/Heat Wave), Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein) and Caity Lotz whose role is still TBD as her Arrow character Sara Lance was killed off, with her sister Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) taking over as the Black Canary. Lotz’s character could be the second new-to-TV DC superhero on the new show, with the remaining new male role, which is still being cast, as third.
