Are the 211's shipping with Component Cables?

One thing for sure is there is not Quality Control here what so ever as this issue has been raised here several times before. I have two 211's from separate dealers that were factory sealed and both had only RCA and phone cables in them. I got a replacement 211 from Dish for the one that had a HDMI issue and that came with the same RCA and phone cables. So just be glad you got your 211 in the box.

Side note here but if you really want a superior picture, buy a superior cable. There is a difference and all the Sat Boys will tell you that. Don't get me wrong, you'll get a nice picture but for people like me who project it to a 11' diagonal picture, we see the difference.

any updates here? I am getting a 211 tomorrow from CVS to install for a customer and want to know if they are still shipping without component cables?
Some are, some aren't, it seems. Luck of the draw. I got mine WITH component cables.

My 211 install was yesterday. No component or HDMI cable. It doesn't make sense, it is a High Definition receiver! I watched the installer open the box, and complainded to him about it. He passed the complaint on to his boss but to no avail. Since I did do my homework, and figured they wouldn't be there, I ordered a 6 ft set of AV component and a HDMI cable from monoprice.com. They arrived on the day of my install, and They are quality cables too! the total for both cables was $18.65 including shipping. But the point is... they should at least include one set of cables at the installation so you can check out your new VIP 211 HIGH DEFINITION receiver on your HD TV.

In my 211 box, it had a component, composite, and phone. But I had a HDMI cable and used it instead of the crappy component and composite cables.

Need help w/ota

Why keep 942 if MPEG2 HD going away?
