Anyone have knowledge of prewire codes

Looking to set up a relatives new home (still under construction) with with some phone/RG-6 runs. I do have some questions if someone could enlighten me.
What building/NEC or construction codes or guidlines do I need to be aware of when running the wiring through the framing? Also, is there anything I cannot drill through? Lastly, is low voltage wiring like this inspected like electrical is? Also, if anyone knows where I can get some diagrams related to prewire, that would be great. Sorry for all the questions. Thanks guys!
