just going by what the name sais but I would guess that its a motor that turns the feedhorn to change the polarity.

insted of turning a diaphram it just rotates the entire lnb, that way you can get offskew sats etc.

Interesting, I've never seen one of those before, thanks!

That's an old Chaparral KU polarizer that bolts onto the side of a C band feedhorn. It was their first attempt to make adding KU to existing C band dishes easy...the forerunner to the Corotor. The entity that is selling it has no idea what it is therefore has no idea how to price it.

Thanks, AC. Sounds like they need to move the decimal point on their pricing a couple of places to the left. ;)

You see a lot of that on EBAY, people asking 100's of $$ for stuff I would mostly give away. Another good example is a stepped feedhorn, Item number: 110323957996 asking a mere $725.00, I have one of these for Ku and would be happy to send it to a good home if someone needs it.

Is it a KU orthomode? I may be interested...

On the other hand, you see a lot of sellers on E-Bay letting stuff go for a very small fraction of what its worth for the same reason (they don't know what it is). There is a lot of that going on with professional video gear.
