I know DirectTV has a $20 off pre-season offer (whoopie), but I was wondering if anyone had any info or suggestions on where to look for extra savings offers. I have XM Radio and DirectTV so I was wondering if there might be something there. I'd get it if it was $99 for the season, but $159 is nuts, let alone the $179 regular price.

Any suggestions? (besides suck it up and pay)

I sincerely doubt it. The best you'll get is the $20.

Sorry.

I agree, it's a lot, but if you're an addict (I didn't watch it much the year I had it, so I don't bother), it's better than not having it.

What would be nice is to see them offer one team deals. Everyone gets the games in their market area already. I'm a huge Dodgers and Angels fan, but live in ohio with Reds and Indian coverage. If I knew I could sub to just Dodger games (for example), then I (and possibly others) would jump on it.

another note: you can get the MLB EI package for your broadband connection for 79.99 for the season. So if the 159 is too much, you can always go that route
