I have a standard def receiver I am not using. I have 2 other HD receivers on the account. I have a good chunk of my 2 year agreement remaining. Will deactivating/returning the SD receiver incur any fees or contract extensions?

Only if you dont return it after calling to deactivate. You call we deactivate the receiver, we then send you a prepaid recovery kit so send it back to us for free. So as long as you return it no fee.

You only need to return the SD receiver if it is a leased unit.

And let's not forget that be deactivating that receiver you'll save the lease or mirror fee.
