Relax, this is the email I sent.
Hi, being a loyal customer, off and on, since the mid 90's when I bought a box of DISH equipment and installed everything myself, I am trying to upgrade from a 2 TV service, VIP922K to one Hopper 3 and a Joey 4K keeping the same 120 channel package. I have made three calls, gotten 3 different stories and prices about installation fees, no installation fees, service this and that and finally ended up going a level up to a supervisor who gave me the following regarding my associated costs which are not in agreement with the online agreement, the one requiring a SUBMIT click confirmation. Yesterday Haley, the supervisor from W. Virginia, said my equipment charges would be $43 during the 2 year contract. On line it states $59.99. I'll not belabor the point, you get it. I need what every credible company is more than willing to give their customers - clarification and some transparency.
Please give me something in writing, an honest disclosure, what my TOTAL upfront costs would be, and, what my monthly charges are itemized. I want the Top 120 channels as I have now, no locals, Hopper 3 and one Joey. Everything is prewired, easy peasy install.
Damn straight, you got a problem with that? They should be put out of business by the FCC for misrepresentation and fraud. There are 100's of thousands that "want to bash DIsh" and do. Like me they wouldn't need to if Dish were honest, had a good business model. Apparently they treat their employees like dirt too.

And since this thread is all about bashing Dish's defective dongle (no longer for sale I might add) here's what one fella wrote on the Consumer Affairs site:
I purchased a Polk surround sound system from Dish. After 2 months it stopped working. Dish refused to warranty the product because it had been more than 30 days. My advice do not buy any extra products from Dish. They do not stand behind their product.
