I have a Dish Network 811, all my locals are great except one. Went up on the roof and temporarily installed an indoor DB. amp. My last channel came in great, while it did not overload the rest. Any recommendations on a good mast mount amp that is not too strong, and can be satellite powered, as I diplex my lines?

All the sat powered pre-amps I am aware of have too much amplification (overload) for your application.

The Winegard HDP-269 is good urban pre-amp with excellent overload resistance and 12dB amplification but it is not satellite powered.

Ghannel Master makes the best one........

Winegard O.K., but not as good as Channel Master...........

Radio Shack or Antennacraft is iffy.

Philips or RCA are inferior...........

I almost always install Channel Master,

How many dB does your indoor amp output?

Many standard pre-amps amplify 25-30 dB on UHF which is a whole lot of amplification when you consider that these numbers are logarithmic not geometric (powers of ten not multiples).

How many dB does your indoor amp output?

10 DB is all, but it made a big difference.
Oljim, was hoping to not have to run an extra wire, but thanks for the great idea.

Could someone tell me how much power the dish Rcvr puts out? I thought it was 18V DC, but I'm not sure...
