Anger management (with Charlie Sheen)

Amen NotMe and was a solid show last night though I don't care for his dad in it :)

So when is this show supposed to return?

I like the fact Martin Sheen is joining the cast...just as long as his character doesn't get too much air-time. I enjoy the witty banter; his acting and comedic timing are excellent; and he can keep a fatherly eye opened to ensure Charlie doesn't go off the deep end.

It finally happened guys. Actually I thought it would happen a bit earlier this wek.

No word on when season 2 will start or how they will chop the 90 episodes into seasons.

I will say though thata piece of me thought aht Chalie would implode before now. I clearly underestimated him.

Good news. Sheer is quite a smart, funny and personable guy...when he's not self-medicating and/or cycling through an episode (i.e., going off the rail on a crazy train)

Let's hope Sheen can stay that way and not go off the tracks :)

I think they have about 12 episodes per season,or about 3 months worth for most cable series and if you take 90 and divide it by 12 you get 7.5 years of shows. They could run it for that long if they do it as a summer series.

The few other shows that had this kind of huge order did not follow the 10-13 episode season model. I am not sure how FX will do this. The only real precedent I know of would be the Tyler Perry comedies on TBS. That ran for eight "Seasons" with the shortest season being 16 episodes and the longest being a whopping 62 episodes. I definitely would not say that is how Anger will work but I think anything is possible.

Well considering that season one had 10 episodes, not 12 or 22 or 24 episodes, I don't think you can count on the seasons having that many more than 10 per season. That could make the show last 9 years at that rate, even if they film all of them in two years or less.

I have not seen anything about the schedule for a next season but I do see that te show will go into syndication in September 2014.

Well let's say they make 12 episodes for season 2. The show could stay on till early April ,give or take a few weeks off for specials or Easter , etc. Give us 16 episodes and you could get all through May .

All kinds of things are possible. remember in the se cases the production schedule is not tied to the "seasons" at all. the second season could be 10 shows or 50. Throw out the standard season model and look at things like the tyler Perry comedies witha asimilar production schedule.

Well folks, today I read TV Guide magazine and I will quote you what they say. Everyone will be surprised on the answer about how many episodes will be broadcast.

"Anger Management will now return in January and REMAIN in ORIGINALS nearly every week UNTIL 2014, when the 100th episode airs and the sitcom is sold into syndication. FX could always order more episodes beyond that and will still hold rights to the show's repeats through 2018."

So it looks like we will see just about all new episodes for the next year and a half. So the "season" will be a long one if it runs non stop till 2014.:D

Cool. I just hope they run it opposite that non-comedy drama known as Three Big Babies. :D

When I read your post my first thought was, "Oy vie! Sheen went off the deep-end banging seven gram rocks and getting into a physical altercation with hookers in a high-priced hotel once again. ;) However, this is much better news! :) I hope they air the show opposite to what I now consider to be 2.5 Dingleberries. Although I saw this move coming (Sheen has been quite stable while under the network work release program), it certainly wasn't unreasonable to think that he may have gone nutsy coo coo.
