I can certainly tell that nobody at D* is from the South because they certainly don’t know beans about symantics.
For example, in the South, to say that something is going to be turned on in September actually means that it will be on by September 1st so that anyone wanting to watch could do so during the entire month of September.
If, on the other hand, the start date was to be on 9/7, then the term “the beginning of September” would be acceptable but anything after this date would have to carry a “mid-September” or end-of-September” designation.
….And if the plan was to turn it on any later than tomorrow. the correct phraseology would most definitely have to read “the very end of September” and not just “in September” as they have so advertised.
If you’re looking for the reason people are so upset about this issue, herein lies the explanation. Only a bunch of left wing liberals such as those currently residing in CA, along with DirecTV, could get away with saying something is coming in September and turn it on the last week or day of the month.
And no, I’m not really serious about all of this but I do, at the very least, hope that this post made you smile.
