Nope, RandyHmm, I know someone with the initials RP who lives there. Would your name be Rick by any chance?

Oh - your guessing. Ok, at least we know.
Wow I said that days ago. One channel, just one silly freakin channel would end all of this. Hell I dont care if its upconverted Directv basics. LOLI just wish they would turn on ONE channel. THAT would make folks quiet down a bit (I would think)
I'm no software expert, but I did some testing for a system upgrade for my employer over the past month. Everything went fine in development, and clone testing, but as soon as we tried to go live with it and put it into prodiction everything crashed. That was two weeks ago, and IS still isn't 100% sure when they will get the issues resolved.
Even better than their current MPEG-4 locals and RSNs? If so, then in the words of Darth Vader: "Impressive," breathing sound, "most impressive."Yes I have also been told that the PQ is outstanding and will give FIOS a run for their money in the PQ department.

I posted this on the other forum but though it was humors - on the phone with a CSR to cancle a receiver the CSR told me the HD channels were turned on yesterday and I should look for them
Great guy - I told him that the CSRs must be the last to know and that no the switch was not turned on. He had to put me on hold to resolve some things on my account but came back and said yes there were technical issues and the switch would be thrown soon.
D* clearly has some organizational issues but I have found all the CSRs to be very helpful and really try at doing a good job. I have to say I have always treated them with respect though - and perhaps negotiating skills or lack there of is why others have had issues.

It was confirmed that 498 NEVER came from D10 or was even MPEG4: someone with a DirecTiVo was able to tune it in.I saw channel 498 briefly last night coming from the new sat......I hope directv's latest version of hd lite looks better.

The thread that was deleted (which shouldn't have been activated in the first place) had confirmation of it. Just incorrect channel mapping, I guess...and itchy trigger fingers for the thread.I did not hear that. Earl said it was coming from D10. While earls track record has not been the best lately (and only because I believe he is towing the party line) I believe what Earl posted last night was accurate.
Thats ok, this is an example of what the report post button is about.
So use and Shhhhhhh!

I say BRING IT ON!
My OTA locals and D* MPEG-4 locals are indistinguishable. I have nothing to compare YES-HD MPEG-4 to, so I can simply say it's amazing. Most of the mpeg 4s and rsns are pretty good, but still do not match up with ota and fios.
