An observation

I have been posting here since the beginning. During that time I have at times been very pleased with how the site was run and at other times displeased with one or more aspects of it. However I feel I always had an opportunity to speak my mind----even if my advice was rejected.

Today however I had a very different experience at another site where I have been posting even longer. There I asked a simple question (By backchannel) and received first a very evasive answer and then basically had my head handed to me for asking a question.

All I really wanted to say here and in a few other places i visit is that I appreciate the fact that I can ask a question or speak my mind here-----sometimes on the site and sometimes by backchannel. I am still mystified that you would not follow my advice 100% of the time (lol) but hey you at least acknowledge that there might be other thoughts---or questions about your direction and I wanted to say that I appreciate that especially when I see what it can be like.

Thanks Scott and all admins who run this site.This is the best site going today and people that are great and have respect for each other and treat each other good and can have discussions for the most part without people getting heatted over it.A site we have here that can have an actual debate or conversation that you won't get booted or barred from plus get news for all kinds of thinges before other places.Thank you all to Scott and everyone who helps with this site

In response to some inquiries about the other site I will just say that it is not one that is in competition with this site. I have some other hobbies and this is a site I used to isit frequently and still do. No need to name it. I don't want to badmouth them. I mention this only because I don't want to create a false impression about any other sites in this foeld.

It's sad that people even care if it might be DBSTalk. It's like 9-year olds bickering.... Should people refer to DBSTalk as "the-site-who-shall-not-be-named" ?

And for what it's worth, don't ASSume I'm defending "that site" -- I haven't logged in there in years. The only time I've visited in the past few years was when someone posted a link to there.
