An ad nearly blew up my speakers!?

I was sitting here at 7:09 PM EST typing a reply and an ad sent a very loud "CONGRATULATIONS" over my speakers cause I didn't have them muted. This is the first time this has done it to me but all the more reason why I've tried to block them in the past. The issue with blocking the ads seems to cause my reply boxes not to wrap or look strange (old complaint).


All I know is it was on a www.bigbrothersbigsisters.org ad and BAM.... I go jump a few feet out of my chair.

can someone please do something to prevent the audio from future ads - its very annoying.

We do not allow audio ads, they are turned off for us by the ad agencies, but looks like one snuck through.

With your screenshot I am able to tell which agency it was who served it so I can alert them to fix their problem.

I actually dropped our top paying ad agency last year because they were serving us audio ads. I do not like them either.

I just went to that ad agencys support forum and notice a number of others are reporting the same issue. They will fix this problem, but it probably wont be until tomorrow. (So keep your speakers down)

I used to support Big Brothers and Big Sisters but it's a shoddily run organization, at best, that is ripe with misuse and they solve the root cause of any problems. That's why they have to resort to such shoddy advertising. I support Mothers with Fathers.
