Using an Amiko Mini HD SE , which we purchased from gotCband, I forget, maybe over a year ago. Couple months ago it would just go black, sometimes when left on, usually overnight. Unplugging the power, was the only way to revive it. Can live with that, but just recently, the sound "drops" , down to none now and lately 3-4 times a day. Hitting the power button/rebooting brings back the sound. Pain in the butt. Looked at the new Amiko (nice!), But it only has HDMI out. (HDMI ports on main tv are fried) . Current setup is as follows , 10ft dish C-band only, Motorola DSR922 For moving dish & changing polarity (but we rarely move off G19), Amiko STB using mini AV out to composite splitter which feeds the living room tv (HDMI fried) & bedroom tv ( which has any plug needed)
I looked at the new Amiko, but has HDMI Out only. Darn, wi-fi would be sweet.
The Amiko Mini HD SE receives what we can watch and was terrifically easy to setup. Would buy another in a heartbeat, but don't know what new STB boxes might be out there that will "fit" my setup. Any suggestions? This box is dieing, I fear.
