Is there any need to scan Anik F1, or the Echostar satellites? I am going down the list on the Fortec, and some are c band and some don't have anything on them. TIA!

I don't remember which ku Anik, but one of them has some 4:2:2 feeds on it. And you never know? May find something at any time?

It all depends on what you are looking for. Personally I never think of a blind scan as a waste of time. Even when I don't find anything at least I know I'm not missing anything on that bird at that moment. If I find a new test card I'm doing a happy dance. Those are valuable clues that something may be going on sometime soon ... but I'm geek that way.

You might just want to check Lyngsat and if nothing listed there strikes your fancy, delete those sats from your list.

Good idea! I think I will scan in the "main" ones now, then when I have more time, I will go back and check out the others

AnikF1 has mainly 4:2:2 feeds

AnikF2 once in a blue moon has a feed

AnikF1 is at 107.3
AnikF2 is at 111.1

yeah i got it setup temp but it off arc so i will tweak tomorrow and make a new bracket. might also make up two new big bucket mounts "partyharty" had a good idea so i will make one or two like his @ http://www.chrisrowland.com/fta_how_to_set_pole.htm
