Alternate Receiver in Belize?

We are building a vacation home in Belize. We want to buy & set up a second receiver there. We have a spare dish which I have set up dozens of times for our RV travels. I believe that all I have to do after setting up is just call DTV & ask them to switch receivers depending on which home we are at. But the lady I talked to at DTV Moves said it wasn't possible because they don't service Belize. Anyone have experience with anything like this? Mexico? Central America?

There are several threads regarding what you want to do, one from a guy in Belize I think. Do you want hd or sd only?

Don't tell them where it is, add the $6 receiver to your US account and good enough. Good luck getting HD down there.

I think the guy in the link that raoul5778 posted is using a 6 or 9ft off-set dish!

yep, I don't think you will get a sniff of signal with a standard US dish.
