AL EAST 2009

Paul,
you need to refresh my memory.

Was the problem at Comerica too "pitcher friendly" ?

Just a little. The left field fence was farther than you could see from home plate without 20/20 vision. We ended up adding seats in front of the wall, I think they moved the fence about 20-30 feet. Left Center is still Death Valley. Definitely not a hitters park.

When you see a Tigers home game next, when you get a fly ball to deep left, you'll see the old fence behind it.

Jeter just smacked another ball out of the park. Make that 4 HR's through 5.

At this rate, A-Rod can stay on the DL for a few more months and still break Bonds HR record by the end of the year!

Make that 5 home runs today at Yankee Stadium.

That's par for each game so far this season. Crazy.

Red Sox trying to sweep a DH from the Twins. Red Sox won the first game, 10-1 in a rain shortened 7 innings. They're winning the nightcap, 5-2 in the 4th.

The Sox are wearing their "Earth Day" green caps with green lettering on their jerseys. On one sleeve is a shamrock, and on the other is the recycle logo.

It's great that they're doing that for Earth Day, but with the red socks and red sweatshirts, they look like a Christmas scene.

The Red Sox sweep the doubleheader from the Twins, 10-1 and 7-3.

The Sox have now won seven straight.

Next up..............................................the Yankees

I was confused with the game. Today, I kept hearing about the Red Sox game, yet when I checked my digital cable it didnt say it. Then I realized, double header. Congrats on the Sox winning 7 straight. I wish the Mets would do that. Hell, I wish they could win 1 game.

The Yankees will be tough. Is it at Fenway or at Yankee Stadium, where I'll have to hear about how great the stadium for the whole game.

Thanks, buddy :)

I have to admit, I'm the protypical Red Sox fan- I get too low when they're struggling, and very high when they're doing well. There's very little grey area, I guess it's how we're breed here. :o

The series is a three game weekend series at Fenway (Fri. 7:00, Sat. 4:00 and Sun. 8:00).

As far as the Mets go, hang in there my friend, there's a long way to go (sometimes I wish I could practice what I preach). :D :up

Man, is this going to become a Group Hug type situation with all of our teams playing poorly from time to time :D

We've all complained about how our teams have played already and were only like 15 games into the season.

Unfortunately, for the second week in a row, I'm stuck with Cubs Cardinals on FOX- I want to see if Boston torches the shaky Yankee pitching staff. Oh well- there's always the NFL Draft.

There's also an NBA playoff quadrupleheader on Saturay also, leading off with Denver-New Orleans at 1:00 ET, plus Stanley Cup playoff games.

Another sports bonanza weekend!

LOL.... you're so right, Jimbo. :up

Just two weeks ago I was so down on my team. And you know what?

I guarantee they'll be others times I'll feel like that this season.

And to think some of us were talking about the Tiger pitching staff being a positive.

Hang on to beat LA Angels 12-10, gave up 2 runs in the bottom of the ninth.
It looked like Jones was back, had a 4 run lead going in.

I could use a hug after yesterday. :(

Cliffy pitched 8 innings of 2 run ball. Unfortunately for the Tribe, we couldn't manage a single run yesterday.
