The White Sox are also on MLB Network tonight for those of you without MLB.tv. I will be watching on the MLB Network because it will be easier to switch between Notre Dame vs. Michigan and the Sox. Go Irish and go Halos!

Go Irish? I'll bet you're not a popular guy in Fenton this evening. :) The Irish are my 2nd favorite team...love 'em when they spank the Spitoonies, but they're the evil enemy when the play Michigan. Regardless, it should be another great game ...almost certain to go down to the final seconds. Go Blue!

I see Cabrera hit his 42nd HR to tie for the lead and win the Triple Crown if the season were to end today. I noticed Josh Hamilton is sitting out the weekend with a sinus infection so I can't wait for the Trout for MVP advocate to start dismissing Miggy's accomplishment.

Huge double-header tomorrow. Sure hope Cabrera can hit a couple more dingers:

Sep 23, 2012 MIN (Diamond) @ DET (Scherzer) 1:05 PM ET
Sep 23, 2012 MIN (Walters) @ DET (Smyly) 7:05 PM ET

Yeah my grandpa played for ND so my whole family was raised to be Irish fans. I have a lot of die hard Michigan and Michigan State fans that are close friends. There is always a lot of trash talk going back and forth between us and those two games are by far my favorite every year. I actually went to the game last weekend at MSU wearing all my ND gear.

My great uncle played for the '48 Michigan team and my nephew played for Lloyd Carr and graduated in '08. My dad got one of his graduate degrees from MSU, but we love him anyway. The family has had season tickets to the Big House since the the Bump Elliott era. I try to make it back for one or two games each season. This year I'm hoping for a U-M/Tigers playoff weekend. :)

There is nothing like the big house.

Notre Dame's offense was bad but they didn't give up any TDs two weeks in a row to Michigan and Michigan State.

Big games today...Tigers could anywhere from 2-games back to 1-game ahead of the White Sox after the day is over. I'm hoping Max is back at 99% this afternoon.

Gametime 3:35 PM ET
CHW: Floyd (10-10, 4.50 ERA)
LAA: Weaver (18-4, 2.79 ERA)

I've got my picture in picture going again today between the Tigers and Lions. I want 3 Detroit wins and 2 Chicago losses today.

I must say...watching Delmon Young field fly balls in left field is frightening and comical at the same time. I'm not sure if there it a place for him on next years roster given his limited range...especially with Dirks coming into his own.

I don't think there is room for him, he has rebounded a bit with the bat but his fielding ugh....

I think he is an acceptable DH but with vmart coming back next year we don't need a DH. I'd rather have Young at the plate than Dirks any day but there is no doubt he is a liability in the field. The problem is that we have too many defensive liabilities and he is the easiest to replace. If I had to pick between replacing Peralta or Young I would rather see them replace Peralta. Young is still young (I know) and hr is a better hitter than Peralta.

Well, we were up 2-0 before this disastrous 6th inning. We'll have to finds a lot of runs in a short amount of time.

Well this one is over but if Weaver can beat the White Sox and we can win the 2nd game we will finish the day tied for first. I will gladly take that right now.
