Tigers win, if anything this year the have mastered the art of giving fans unclers with the up and down season :) JV on the mound today let's see what happens

...and I think the game is on MLB Network or ESPN this evening. Never mind...the bastards are going the Yankees-Red Sux game curtesy of regional coverage. Who and the hell wants to watch that crap!!!

You should really consider MLB.tv. Premium is only $25 for the rest of the year and it will get you every game live with FSN Detroit broadcasts. I paid about $120 for it right before spring training I think. I'm actually in my home team's market and I definitely still got my money's worth. If you have a streaming device it's a no brainer so you can see the division race. The picture quality and features are very good and I'm obviously impressed.

I thought about it when they offered the $49 father's day package. Yeah, I can afford it...but I just can't justify the expense for a variety of reasons.

I know the Tigers are on the MLB Network ALT channel tonight. You might get it depending on which game they pick for your area.

It doesn't make sense that the Red Sox and Yankess are the main game. The Red Sox are out of it and our game is for first place tonight.

...plus it's Verlander vs Sale. I imagine MLB Network would have a great deal of wiggle room in their broadcast plans since they hold the copyright, but there are probably too many NY and Boston fans in the Mid-Atlantic area. Also, I don't think I have an MLB ALT channel in my area.

Even if you did they don't let you pick between games. You get the game they picked for your area and the other game is blacked out. They often black out games when the blackout rules don't apply because they think the other game is of more interest to your area.

Cable doesn't have an alternate channel in my area but because cable companies are regional they automatically switch to the right game for our area without us needed to know the alternate channel number. We have dish now and the main channel is 152. If that is blacked out there will be a game on 478. I would bet that many dish customers have no idea there is an alternate because the channels aren't located near each other.

Tigers place Ryan Raburn on the Disable list, more than likely done for the season, possibly his career in detroit as well.

With the expanded rosters, teams can have 40 players, Tigers only have 31 currently, so there was really. No need to put him on the DL.....

Yep, I think we've seen the last of Rayburn.

What's the weather forecast look like (i.e., are they going to get the game in tonight)? Regardless, I haven't gotten enough sleep this week so it looks like I'm hitting the rack early.

It looks like off and on rain all night. I think they will play eventually but there might be more delays during the game.

Yep, it's official. The game will be postponed until Monday. There goes the Verlander Sale match up. That was an anticlimactic finish to this week's series.

And, it's official:
Tonight's #WhiteSox vs. #Tigers game has been cancelled. It will be made up Monday at 1:00 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet.

Sox reporter from Comcast Sportsnet said this looks constant and noted both teams have Monday night off.

Good, lets just start the game tomorrow and not waste our best pitchers.

Verlander is constantly pitching in bad weather games .... it stink because just as you get in a good groove, they have a delay and the pitcher has to try to stay warm during the delay and usually doesn't come back if it's 45 minutes or more.

I didn't think either team has a day off down the stretch - apparently I was wrong.

Tigers are at Cleveland and White Sox are at Minnesota tomorrow night; no advantage for either team.

Bummer since I was really looking forward to the pitching duel this evening. However, I am SO SO glad Verlander didn't take the mound once again in crappy weather.
