FIrst time all year the Sox lost a game due to errors. Need to give Liriano some support tonight, he'll be pumped to pitch against his former team.

Neither the Sox nor the Tigers make a deadline deal. Tigers were looking at Soriano, but he'll pass waives with ease. Can get him anytime in August if they want.

White Sox win! Tiges losing, in rain delay. Could see lead back to 2 1/2 in the morning.

Today is August 1st...

..and I am "officially" worried about the Tigers winning the division. Obviously, their record should be another 8-10 games better given their players and sizable payroll. Right now we're still underperforming.

Yes they seem to have problems when playing at Boston. They have to get back on track!

Today's game ends a 19 game stretch since the All-Star break with 16 road games doe the Sox. Considering the worst they could be is a 1 1/2 game lead, which is where they were at the break, I'm pleased. Especially since they got swept in Detroit. Need to win today, tough series with Angels next.
