AL Central 2010

I noticed Detroit plays the Tribe tomorrow in a d/n DH

do teams no longer do twi-night dh'ers anymore? I can understand when you sell out dang near every game like some teams do but in Cleveland I dont see them selling out to not have a regular DH
Yeah I just noticed the d/n DH too. To be honest, I cannot recall the last time I attended a twi-light DH. Hmmm.

It may have been a rain out make up, not sure.....

Edit:
May 7th rain out.

They need to have these games separate as the gate has already been sold.

There's an enduring quality about an eternal optimist...but most of the time you just want to hold a pillow over their face.

Hopefully the Tigers can manage a split, or better, in today's/tonight's DH at Cleveland.

I hate double headers.

I don't have the stats in front of me , but it's real RARE that a team wins BOTH games anymore.

I like a double-header every once in a while...but not to often and only the back-to-back twilight variety. The one thing that sucks about them is they always seen to "split" the games...regardless of who is playing.

The first Tigers/Indians game isn't on MLBEI cuz of the dumb Fox blackout rule and the Indians aren't televising it at all. I'm glad FSD doesn't just randomly exclude games like teams' some channels, they have every single one.

why would they need to be separate? Tell the folks who had tickets for that game they can turn them in to get a ticket to another game. If there is really no way to have a normal DH I can see that but again its not like Cleveland is lighting up the attendance records this year ;)

I know why they do it...the owners can get more money for 2 separate games than one but it sucks for the players and everyone else

yes it is

I see it in the guide on FSN D & on 721 for EI folks

The blackout rule states that since the FOX games start at 3:00 Central any game that starts at noon is in EI

Cubs/Phils game is in there too

no game can be shown between 3-6:00 Central on EI....so the only game that I will miss is the Cards/Dodgers (I get TB & Yanks on Fox)

Ya I watched it, they postponed it in the 4th inning. So will they pickup where they left off or start from the beginning?

They start over

If they started the game, then postponed then that is different versus not starting it at all in regards to how a DH is done

they changed it on the scoreguide, didn't say that earlier. says its on 728 and 729 now too???

I wish D* could get this right

so I tune to 721 and it says "blacked out...we're trying to find the game" so I tune to the legit channel (in the 600's) and it shows the game

edit: 721 just came up.....

The MLB has to step in there next time and put an end to this BS that FOX pulled with their contract, once this one expires of course.

Jesus Verlander is so over rated he can't make it through 5 anymore. You just never know what your getting with this guy anymore.

Bet you don't say that next week if he throws a 1 or 2 hitter and wins.

He's got 11 wins that puts him in the top 5 this year, actually he's TIED for 3rd, what do you want ?

How long do you last in 95* heat ?

Fwiw, he's avg'd 6.2 innings this year, YES, thats INTO the 7th inning.

WEEI's Dennis and Callahan to be simulcast live on NESN

Don't look now, but Steve Lavin is making St. John's relevant again
