AL Central 2010

What's the feeling about Young out there in Minnesota?

After last year, I'd have been happy if they got rid of him. This year, in much better shape, he's contributing a lot more to the team and I'm glad he's here. Better at the plate and in the field, he's made good strides.

It'd be easier if you said 8/7 central or 7/6 central like they do on national networks, since the AL Central is in 2 time zones.

I said "Ballgames start again tonight at 6:00 Central"...didnt say which game.

if someone can't figure out how many hours to add/subtract from Central then I'm sorry I can't help them.

Maybe next time I'll say the Twins game starts at 2:00 Hawaii Time :p

I have to mention that with this being my 1st baseball season with D* the MLB Network ROCKS!!

Sunday they showed the 1965 All Star Game from Met Stadium in Minneapolis (Bloomington...where the mall of america is now)

They showed it as is...in black and white....with technical glitches (picture would vertical roll real quick. I LOVE IT!!
I like that MLB Network shows old games that truly are "old". A couple months ago I saw a Expos game from 1970 that was from a kinescope!

MLB Network is my favorite channel :)

I've had it since day 1 with D*. They showed a kinescope of Don Larsen's perfect game in the 1956 World Series. A young Vin Scully was the announcer.

yeah I saw that one too a while back....amazing that MLB Net will show those games

Also the older "World Series" videos they show are pretty cool. They're half hour or an hour for a longer series. Cool to see the older stadiums on those :)

Looks like Sox will miss Morneau this weekend. Hope he gets better soon. He's one of those kind of guys that you want in the game whether he plays for your team or the opposition.

He's missed the last couple of series.
Concussion like symptoms, or was it a Concussion ?

he only missed the Detroit series...concussion like symptoms from the Toronto series when he tried to break up double play and whoever covered 2nd his knee hit morneau int he head

at the end they threw Thome a pitch that was called a ball for a 1-1 count. 2 pitches later Jenks throws the exact pitch in the same spot and its called a strike to end the game?

damn umpires
