Speaking of funny...there won't be many laughs if Verlander can't hurl the Tigers to victory this afternoon against the Braves. Twins and White Sox fan laughter doesn't count!

No, I think we need to see the Braves win. Not just for my White Sox, but the Braves need the win too. And the Braves pay my sons paycheck, the better they are, they more tickets he sells. Sweeping the Tigers will get them some extra sales.

Lovely afternoon so far...Tigers are winning at Atlanta and both Minnesota and Chicago are trailing in late-innings.
Well, started a new job and was out of town for training for awhile, then was involved in son's Babe Ruth league team. Not much time to watch too many games until about a week or so ago. And, as bad as they were playing, not too much to get excited about. Son got me interested in the Braves and Heyward as well. This is actually early for me to get interested in baseball, younger son usually plays well into July, but hurt pitching arm shut him down early this year.

Dick said (during today's debacle) that the Wednesday game has been picked up by FSN, along with four or five others that weren't originally scheduled.
I hope the starting pitching comes around soon. This is discouraging.
