AL Central 2010

Tommy is not a little boys name .....

How's
Tommy Hilfinger
Tommy Lee Jones
Tommy Shaw

To name a few .....

To me it is, no one's called me it since I was a kid. I don't care what other guys go by.

I've never heard them say Tom Brookens either.

Rod Allen always says Twinkies BTW. It doesn't make Mario mad. :D

you're disrespecting a team. If you notice I say the Tigers in my posts. I dont sit there and call them the kitties....ok once I did and that was after the Twins swept them

Hey Tony, It's actually OK to use the word Kitties as I refer to the Detroit Lions as the "Little Kitties" all the time. :D

Tigers option Ric Porcello to AAA Toledo to fine tune his mechanics, or get his head on straight , hopefully to come back pitching like the Porcello of last year. :)

I thought he should have been sent down a few weeks back.

On other notes,
Looks like Austin Jackson will be out till Tuesdays road opener against the yankees.

I mentioned before that I thought he needed some time off, then the injury came about.
He was swinging a bat the other day in the cages, so his return should be soon, probably Tuesday.

Typical sophomore slump. They should have sent him down June 9 instead of just skipping him in the lineup. He was rusty from not pitching for so long.

nothing wrong with twinkies, its a name that has been tied to this team for as long as i can remember.

heck the vikes were also called the queens, of course before farve got to town.

Speaking of names.... you guys should hear some of the names my wife calls me.

Tigers are on a nice run. You gotta love Boesch. What a beautiful swing this kid has. Appears to be a 5 tool player. Nice throw to get that guy
at home yesterday!

Now, if somebody could just shut Rod Allen up. How did this guy get the color job anyhow. Gem from the Angels series- "LA 4, Detroit 2, Angels up by two." No sh*t, Rod?

Yep, nice win by the Tigers this afternoon. Now...it's onward to a 9-game road trip against quality teams. We gotta stop sucking on the road!!!

What do they say, win your home games and .500 on the road and your good ?

Tigers are not all that bad on the road, but I do suggest they start winning more on the road as they are playing much better teams around the corner.

Quick look shows the Tigers are 25-11 at home and 13-19 on the road.

Tigers next road trip is 9 games long with 3 in NY (Mets), Atlanta and Minnesota.

At the end of those 9 we should know a bit more about these Tigers.
