Home runs are an exceptionSo ...... a base runner is not allowed to touch a base coach or he's OUT ?
watched on Rangers feed. No angle showed definitive touch, but it looked like their hands probably touched.
FSN North (well My29....) zoomed in and they did touch...almost looked like a handshake
both the home plate ump and the 3rd base ump saw it so I dont think it was a questionable call
Thanks Detroit for helping us
Tried .....
Tigers threw a guy out stealing 2nd in the 7th or 8th while they still had a 4-3 lead, then the ump called him safe, review I saw said otherwise.
Next batter got a base hit, tie game.
Then Tigers have a runner on and Inge hits a 3-2 pitch into the seats, 3B umpire calls it a HR .... only to have it over turned under review (which it was a foul ball) then Inge takes strike 3 looking on the next pitch that HE thought was clearly ball 4. and it went down from there ....
All goes back to the missed call at 2nd base.
Replays I saw showed Lillibridge's hand in ahead of the tag. HR call might have been the worst ump call I've ever seen, that ball was foul by 10 feet. An I saw Inge take strike 3 like he knew it was a strike, just pput his helmet down and walked away. Sale is pitching outstanding considering he was pitching in the NCAA's in early June. 7-0 on current road trip, Manny hitting almost .500 with the Sox. Twins going to have to win the Division, Sox are going away.
Is that why he immediately tossed the bat and started down the line ?
The HR/Non HR was a terrible call, it was obvious that it was foul.
That ump needs to get his glasses checked tonight.
