Hi guys. i was wondering if there was a way to add a joey without running coax to it? also with just a cat5 line? i dont have internet so i was just wanting to be able to add joey to another room.
i curently have 2 hoppers and the joey im trying to hook up.

If the hoppers are connected to the same router then yes it will work through network cable. However you will have to program it on coax. Just tap it behind one of the hoppers or connect temporary coax to client port on node to do setup.

If you have easy access to node, just put coax connected to client port of a node thru the window to the nearest tv in the house to setup a joey, or disconnect one of your hoppers, move its cable to client port and use it for the time of joey setup. Once you're done put everything back as it was and move joey to its location.

One wonders why Dish doesn't finish what they started and make the Joey marry up over IP as well.

Account stacking.

The initial firmware is crude, just enough to get things up and running.
