Adding 811 to current 522/301 setup?

I take it I would not need a new dish or switch, just the 811 receiver itself?

I currently have three TV's hooked up, with a 522 running two of them and a 301 on the third. Self-install would be pretty simple I imagine--just plug in the 811 into one input, the 522 into another (so I'd have HD on Video1 and SD on Video2)--or am I missing something?

Because you already have THREE tuners, chances are you have a Quad LNBF or an external 4-output switch. You should check this (go to Check Switch on your receiver).

But do you know yet if you've got an unused satellite feed?

OK, looks like I've got the DP34 switch. Will that do the trick?

You're golden!

Go find the switch. There should be an unused output port. If there isn't, somebody else is using your dish.

Actually, if all 4 output ports have cables, you'll have to do a little detective work to find the unused one, but that's easy enough.
