ABC New Primetime Shows - Fall 2011

The only new ABC program I am watching is Suburgatory. Not interested in even trying any of the others.

(I've got my mind made up, don't distract me with facts.)

I still enjoy watching Revenge...my surprise show of the season. I just don't see how they can make a 2nd season out of the show. To be honest, I would really be interested in watching a series and concludes after 22-26 episodes.

I love Revenge. But I agree, I don't know how it will make a second season.

Two things that have me puzzled. First, is Frank dead? He sure looked DOA to me! That one really hit me from out of left-field. I thought the show would end with Emily Thorne (aka Amanda Clarke) forwarded the video of Frank trying to kill Lydia to the poilice...thus, getting him out-of-the-picture. Regardless, Frank being dead solves that problem...and he certainly got what he deserved.

Second, how and the hell did Lydia survive being pushed from the 6th floor of her apartment by Frank? Moreover, she only had a few broken bones and woke-up after only a few days in a coma - fully aware no less. Let's face it, she looked as dead as dead can be portrayed on TV two weeks ago. If nothing else her spine would have been crushed, she would have suffered some form of brain damage and probably been in a coma for weeks, if not months; and she would have required months, if not years, of therapy before she could communicate what happened to her the night of the party. At this rate she will dancing with Conrad by mid-season. NOoooooo...

Third (Okay, there's more), perhaps Frank is still alive and kicking since he was only beaten with a tire-iron (to me it sounded like the imposter Amanda Clarke was whacking Frank to the beat of New York, New York - dat, da, dat da dah...whack!, and dumped by the side of a highway. Who knows? Regardless, I didn't see the real Emily Thorne (imposter Amanda Clarke) coming into the picture. Her character is actually pretty worthless to the plot...unless she goes on a killing spree trying to protect her former cellmate.

Fourth, how is Emily going to deal with Lydia since it appears those bandages worked miracles during her stint at Pine Valley Hostital. A little too "soapy" for my liking. Perhaps a visit from her tire-iron wielding former roommater is in order.

Fifth, as must as I love watching Emily/Amanda extracting revenge on the Grayson's and their evil accomplices, it is becoming apparent a number of innocent people are going to get hurt in the process. I love cheering for Emily in action, but at what price? Will she destroy a large part of herself in the process?

Sixth, is Nolan really going to carry-out his plot and bet the bomb bay doors just to entrap Tyler in a homosexual trist? Talk about taking one for the team!

I agree with everything you posted. I honestly thought she just picked a name and it happened to be Emily Thorne. I didn't know til this episode that she switched names with a real person.

It looked like Frank was dead, but next episode he'll probably be stumbling into the Grayson's house, all bruised and bloody.

I thought no way Lydia made it, but then she moved just a little. Like, really? How is that possible? Us real humans wouldn't have survived that fall.

I really hate Tyler. He just pisses me off every single time he opens his mouth.

If I recall correctly, I thought Frank investigated Emily Thorn early in the series and discovered she came from a family with money. I never gave it much thought, but it would be hard for her to create such an identity out of thin air. To be honest, I thought she created the identity right out of boarding/reform school and paid to create her past history. I too didn't think Emily Thorn was a real person.

I saw next week's previews afterwards and it they seemed to confirm Frank was dead. I don't know how Emily is going to deal with Lydia, but her cover would be completely gone if Frank were alive...so he would have to be dead. :rip:

Now that Lydia is "alive" and being cared for by Victoria (never saw this one coming) in the next episode, I assume the only negative affect of her fall will be a loss of her short term memory. :eureka

Yep, I can't stand him either. I was hoping Nolan would gather enough evidence to help get rid of him the other night, but no luck. I can only assume Nolan is just a "little gay" because what man would suck face (and other things) with another man just to blackmail them. Yuck!

In the beginning she said that Amanda Clark no longer exists. But that's not true since she switched names with that chick. Just started this weeks episode, so we'll see how the rest goes.

I was so glad to see Revenge return after a six-week long holiday hiatus - I love this show! Of course, since they've aired less than a dozen it's a bit strange how the residents of Cape Snobbyville (call it Pine Valley if you wish) are still in late summer.

The last two episodes were outstanding...but I'm still wondering how were going to get to a second given the shows two two major flaws:

- At some point you have to take out the Greysons since Emily is running out of targets. Of course, they could simply introduce new characters we haven't been introduced to yet like they did last night with Morgan (ala Leo) the writer.

- Cape Snobbyville is a summer home for the wealthy. Does this mean Victoria, Emily and the gang stay puy over the winter months...or will the show forever be stuck in summer?

Regardless, good show.

I thought it would forever be stuck in summer since it didn't show anything having to do with Christmas or New Year's like other season shows did. I am seriously doubting how this is going beyond one season, unless there are just multitudes of people we don't know about, like you said. I don't know. I really, really like this show, so unless it gets cheesy (like the soaps on ABC did,) I'm in for however long it has on the air.

Although too young for mental-pause, Emily could always go on a hormone-raging killing-spree and take-out everyone on the show in the series finale. That would tie-up all the loose ends and the male viewers would enjoy it too. :) Anyway, I am still enjoying this show and I'm eager to see where it is headed...
