High Potential-ABC

I notice something weird about this show. She worked as a cleaning lady, that has all these kids and no husband anymore. She also has a high I.Q. and loves to solve murders, but she dresses like an early 1970s prostitute in short mini skirts and go - go boots and that cheap multi colored - fur coat. It's like they took all the various parts of her character and spun it in a bingo ball machine and pulled them out one by one with no correlation to each other. QUIRKY. :smug

I enjoy High Potential more than I did the one episode of Matlock. And Matlock is not quirky, she's out for revenge.
Not Matlock, Elsbeth the CBS show. It had it's first season last year and returns soon this year. She was the character that was a lawyer that the Good Wife often had to go up against. Her character now has her own show.

The approach of High Potential is a bit different from Matlock and Elspeth in that the latter use a certain amount of subterfuge to disarm the suspects rather than mostly inference and knowledge of trivia.

All of them use the recognition of clues that others miss (or dismiss) to great effect.

I was blindsided by the underlying premise of Matlock but that may not be a bad thing.

I'll continue to watch HP and Elspeth as I like the Dan Brown approach to whodunnits. We'll see about Matlock.

They are both CBS.
