I am a diehard RedSox fan, and I will not say "East:Yankees" until the old lady sings...
Unfortunately, we (i.e., RedSox) lost yesterday at home to the Evil Empire and the above may happen sooner than later. Oh well, we will kick your ass in the playoffs.

Francona is a puppet.. He has no control over Wild Man Damon, Psycho Manny, or Wacko Pedro... The Red Sox management always lets the inmates run the asylum.. That is why they never will win anything of meaning...

Any team with the Yankees payroll can win it all. It has nothing to do with Psycho or Wacko or curse or anything. It is all about buying the best ERAs and RBIs on the market.

My guess for the first one:
a) Mariano Rivera (I think I've seen him give up a couple of homers)
b) Francisco Cordero (Texas, right?? Maybe...)
c) Jason Isringhausen (With all those team wins, he must have a lot of saves)
d) Eric Gagne (Barry took him deep on a 99 mph fast ball)

Update:

NL West = LA/SF (Three games left against each other)
NL Central = St. Louis (going to the playoffs)
NL East = Atlanta (going to the playoffs)

WC = WOW! Houston has a half a game lead over SF and Chicago. I thought that Houston was dead in the water but they have proved me wrong.

AL West = Anaheim has taken over. If Oakland let the Angels win the division, Anaheim will be a dangerous team in the play offs.

AL Centra = Twins (going to the play offs)
AL East = Yankees (one more game to clinch)

WC = Red Sox (already going to the play offs)

The Texas Rangers were eliminated yesterday but they had one their biggest season. Buck is the manager of the year in both leagues as far as I know. He took a young team of no names and had them play over 500 baseball all season long. I really liked them.

I was sad to see my Rangers eliminated yesterday. I was really hoping to see them make the playoffs. This year's team is a prime example of how baseball should be. They had teamwork down all season long. They will be a dangerous team next year!

I hope the Angels win it really. I can't stand Oakland.

The Yankees clinched the Division Title in style yesterday and swept the Twins. They won 100 games for the 3rd consecutive year (never done in their own history). They broke their own franchise home run record set in 1961 by the M'Ms guys... and who more fitting to do it than Burn Baby Burn!!! Williams. The only guy left from the 1995 season.

Meanwhile in Chicago Land... (Cubs that is...), the Reds played spoiler with the cubs and for the second consecutive day the Cubs lost in the 12th inning another heartbreaker. Their pitching is not the problem but their hitting. According to various Sports Analyst the Cubs are not a team that can play small baseball to manufacture runs when they are not getting runs by hitting the long ball. Now they see themselves one game out looking at both the Astros and Giants. It will be a miracle if the Cubs make it. BTW, their pitching has been excellent. Kudos to the Reds for playing their play off series in September.

Giants vs LA: This is the series to watch this weekend. It is break or go home for the Giants. LA wins one game and the Giants will only be able to compete for the WC if Houston somehow manages to lose some games at home which they have been excellent as of late.

Giants, Dodgers and Astros ----> Three Spots for two teams... Which ones? Cubs?
